This policy explains what personal information Alta Tailors collects through this website and in our shop, why we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (“PDPA”).

What we collect
When you book a consultation online
Your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, where you are staying in Hua Hin, your preferred way to be contacted, the type of appointment, the garments you are interested in, your preferred date and time, your departure date, and any notes you add.
When you send us a message
Your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message. If you contact us by WhatsApp, LINE, phone or email, we receive the details you share there.
When you order from us
Your body measurements, fit preferences and the details of your garments, your order and payment records, and — if you ask us to ship your order — your delivery address.
When you browse the website
Our web host automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running securely. To stop spam, our forms keep a short-lived, coded record of your IP address for about ten minutes.
The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores one small note in your browser for the length of your visit so the opening animation only plays once.
Why we use it
- To reply to your questions and arrange your appointments (taking steps at your request before an order).
- To make, fit, alter and deliver your garments, and to provide after-sales service (performing our agreement with you).
- To keep your measurements on file so future orders are easier, including when you order from abroad (our legitimate interest in serving returning clients; you can ask us to delete them at any time).
- To keep the website secure and free of spam (legitimate interest).
- To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run the business: our website host and our email and messaging services (for example Google Gmail and WhatsApp).
- Couriers and shipping companies, when you ask us to send your order abroad.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store information outside Thailand. Where that happens, we rely on providers with appropriate safeguards, or on the transfer being needed to fulfil your request — for example, shipping your order to your home country.
Google Maps and links to other services
Our Contact page shows an embedded Google map. When it loads, Google may collect information and set cookies under its own privacy policy. Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps and other sites are governed by those services’ own policies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking requests for as long as we need them to deal with your request. Measurements and order details are kept so we can make future garments for you, until you ask us to delete them. Accounting records are kept for the period required by Thai law.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you can ask us to:
- give you access to, or a copy of, your personal information;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete or anonymise your information, or restrict how we use it;
- stop using your information where we rely on our legitimate interests;
- send your information to you or another organisation in a usable format; and
- withdraw any consent you have given.
To make a request, email altatailors@gmail.com or speak to us in the shop. We may need to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) website and limiting access to the people who need it to serve you.
Children
Our website is meant for adults. If you are under 20, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
